ffgl fx how to install ffgl fx

FFGL Video Plugin Installation

Resolume Avenue 3

Method 1 (recommended): Create an extra folder for external plugins and point to it

Create one (or more) folders for external plugins and tell Resolume where to look for them.

  • Download the video FX to your computer and expand/unpack the .zip archive (just open it, your Mac will automatically extract a .bundle to the same directory).
  • Create a new folder for the external FX on your Mac (example: /[your username]/Documents/Resolume Avenue 3/FreeFrameGL Plugins/FrPlugins/)
  • Copy the FX to this newly created folder
  • Start R3 and open the Preferences, go to the Video Tab
  • Click on the little + button and point Resolume to the new folder.
  • Restart R3
  • Done!

Method 2: Copy the FX to the standard Resolume library

This is the quick and easy way to add external FX to Resolume. But every Resolume installation (per version) has its own FX directory. That's why you have to copy 3rd party plugins again to the R3 FX directory for every new version of Resolume.

  • Download the video FX to your computer and expand/unpack the .zip archive (just open it, your Mac will automatically extract a .bundle to the same directory).
  • Copy the .bundle to your Mac e.g. /Machintosh HD/Applications/Resolume Avenue 3.3.1/plugins/vfx/
  • Restart Resolume
